Online Sleep Therapy: the CBT-I method recognised as the gold standard.
The online sleep therapy I offer is built on CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia), recognised as the first-line approach to chronic insomnia, ahead of medication.
I pair it with ancestral practices such as Yoga Nidra and Ayurvedic medicine.
What triggers insomnia: why can't you fall asleep, and why do you keep waking up at night?
Trouble falling asleep and/or waking at 3 or 4am, despite supplements, herbal teas, and meditation?
Insomnia takes hold when three factors align: a natural vulnerability, a vigilance trigger, and the anxiety of not sleeping.
Why classic solutions fall short
Medication, melatonin, or meditation are not enough against chronic insomnia.
These solutions can help temporarily. But they do not reverse the state of vigilance that has become your body's new normal.
The Sleep Repair Method: CBT-I paired with ancestral wisdom.
8 weeks · 3 one on one sessions · An app to guide you every day.
01 Reframe (your fears)
CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia) targets your anxiety and rumination. The goal is to teach your body and mind to associate your bed with rest, instead of restlessness.
02 Regulate (your nervous system)
A state of vigilance, among other things, raises your cortisol levels. High cortisol, often called the stress hormone, fragments your sleep. Fragmented sleep in turn drives cortisol back up: a vicious cycle.
Restorative yoga postures, breathwork, and relaxation practices, particularly Yoga Nidra, are powerful tools to help you step out of vigilance mode and regulate your cortisol.
We also care for your gut flora, whose balance influences your mood and your sleep. Together, this recreates a sense of safety for your body.
03 Realign (your biological clock)
Ayurveda, a holistic healing system over 3,000 years old, helps us understand how the body functions across the 24-hour cycle. With this approach, you come to understand your wake-sleep cycle and identify the sleep window and lifestyle that suit you best.
The 2017 Nobel Prize in Medicine confirmed just how important this rhythm is for overall health.
